FAQs – Questions about Composites
GRP stands for glass fibre-reinforced plastic. The material is lightweight, robust, weather-resistant and highly versatile in terms of shape. It is particularly suitable for components, cabins, covers, tanks, façade elements, prototypes and custom solutions.
GRP is reinforced with glass fibres, while CFRP uses carbon fibres. GRP is highly versatile, durable and cost-effective. CFRP is used where particularly high strength combined with minimum weight is required.
Fibre-reinforced plastics are lightweight, strong, corrosion-resistant, durable and highly versatile in terms of shape. This makes them ideal for technical applications, design solutions, custom components and products where conventional materials reach their limits.
Yes. wolf manufactures custom GRP and CFRP moulded parts. The company supports projects from initial drawings and engineering through mould making, production and project support.
Typical applications include vehicle manufacturing, architecture, industry, furniture, leisure, art and landscaping. Examples include covers, diesel tanks, dashboards, cable car station cladding, concrete moulds, water tanks, slides, façade elements and seating solutions.
FAQs – Development & Custom Solutions
Yes. Custom solutions are one of our core strengths. When standard products do not meet the requirements, we develop, plan and manufacture solutions tailored to the customer’s specific needs.
Yes. wolf can provide design, engineering, mould making, production and project support. This integrated approach is particularly valuable for prototypes and custom projects.
Yes. An idea, sketch, drawing or description is enough to get started. From there, we can develop the project together – including feasibility, material selection, shape, function and production.
Yes. The company specialises in prototype development and has its own joinery and mould-making facilities. This enables us to realise highly specialised and individual projects.
Yes. wolf produces one-off pieces, prototypes, as well as small and medium-sized series. This is particularly suitable for specialised technical components and customised solutions.
FAQs – Repairs & Maintenance
Yes. Repairing existing GRP components is one of the company’s core areas of expertise.
A repair is often worthwhile in the case of cracks, damage, chipping, leaks or structural damage to GRP components. Especially for custom-made or large components, repairing the part is often more economical than replacing it completely.
Yes. In principle, existing GRP components can be repaired, modified and refurbished. The exact feasibility depends on their condition, material and intended use.
FAQs – Enquiries & Project Process
It starts with an idea, a specific requirement or a detailed drawing. We then clarify the requirements, application, material, dimensions, function, schedule and budget. This is followed by concept development, design, mould making, production and delivery.
Helpful information includes dimensions, sketches, photos, intended use, quantity, preferred material, loads, function, surface finish, schedule and any special requirements such as fire protection, insulation or electrical equipment.
Yes. wolf works with process-oriented production, in-house project management and the capacity to manufacture larger series as well.
Yes. wolf relies on Swiss expertise and production at its site in Seftigen. The company has its own production and storage facilities as well as in-house quality assurance.
